ONE OF NEW JERSEYS OLDEST
PROFESSIONAL PEST CONTROL COMPANIES
77 YEARS OF DEDICATED FAMILY SERVICE

Bowco Laboratories was established in 1932 by Fredrick J. Bowers, past president and co-founder of the New Jersey Pest Control Association and a graduate of Pratt University in chemistry. In the 1930’s, Frederick was joined by his son George Bowers, in the 1960’s both grandchildren Robert and Barry Bowers joined the company and in the 1990’s Heather Bowers, the 4th generation in the family business joined Bowco.

Fredrick Bowers was a contributing author of the “Approved Reference Procedures on Subterranean Termite Control” published by the National Pest Control Association.  Robert A. Bowers was a pest control graduate of North Carolina State University.  Barry G. Bowers graduated courses at Rutgers – The State University of New Jersey & Purdue University and is currently President of Bowco Laboratories.  Fredrick, George, Robert and Barry have all been officers and on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Pest Control Association. Heather Bowers is currently on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Pest Management Association and is the chair person of the Leadership Program.

Bowco Laboratories is a member of the New Jersey Pest Management Association and the National Pest Management Association in Virginia.

Bowco Laboratories employs a college trained staff including C.D. Mampe, PhD., past technical director of the National Pest Control Association and a nationally recognized industry leader with broad technical and practical knowledge of the pest control industry.

All work performed is done under the supervision of Walt Stefanski, Vice President of Operations, Douglas Boyle, General Manager, Thomas Prohammer, Sales Manager, and Matthew Kager, Termite Manager. All technicians are licensed by the State and have on going technical educational programs to insure that correct and updated procedures are being followed and the latest in professional equipment and products are used. In addition to our required licenses, our inspectors are also certified as New Jersey Pest Management Accredited Wood Destroying Insect Inspectors.

Bowco Laboratories was voted one of the 10 best Pest Control Companies in the United States by Pest Control Technology, a national publication. Some of our accounts vary from major pharmaceuticals, hospitals, State Universities, to major food chains and also specialize in termite and carpenter ant control to residential homes.

Bowco Labs has been serving New Jersey, New York & Pennsylvania communities since 1932, spanning four generations of the Bowers family business.

Barry Bowers was formerly on the board of directors while Heather Bowers is currently on the board of directors with The New Jersey Pest Management Association.
